This contract guarantees return privileges for the same mare during one season if the mare is examined by a licensed veterinarian and found to be barren at 55 days from the date of last service. Lost Creek Ranch Guarantee:
If for any reason you wish to cancel this contract, at any time, up to the first semen collection for your mare, I will completely refund your stud fee, and any deposit fees, but not the booking fee.
If for any reason you wish to cancel this contract any time after the first ( or second, third....tenth, etc. ) semen collection for your mare, have a licensed veterinarian attest that your mare is not pregnant, and return the semen shipping containers). I will refund, your stud fee, and deposit fees, less a $150 cancellation fee, and less the stallion semen collection and preparation, shipping and handling fees, that were actually incurred in artificially inseminating your mare. The first collection is still free.
The actual cost of stallion semen collection and preparation is specified earlier in this contract. We ship Fed Ex overnight to your location and insure the shipping container and semen for $400. Contact your Fed Ex office for approximate shipping charges. In addition, the mare owner must promptly return the shipping container(s), shipping prepaid to Patricia Burge.
Should the stallion die or otherwise become unfit for service prior to conception in the above named mare, the stud fee and all the unused semen shipping deposit fees will be returned.
Shipping note: In the past we had been able to use scheduled passenger airline flights to ship semen, when a quick response was needed. This is no longer possible because of security regulations, except on some of the smaller airlines.
