Fell Ponies are a versatile old breed of pony from the north of England. They are prized for their temperament, strength, and showy look, especially when driven. Pat is the owner of the imported gray Fell Pony Stallion Orton Hall Danny (FP778C, license # FP104H). While most Fell Ponies are black in color, gray is actually genetically dominant and valuable for the diversity it contributes to the breed. The gray color was probably introduced to the breed by the Cistercian Monks, who utilized white stock as a sign of their monastic ownership. Danny has sired seven offspring, including four blacks and three grays.
